Xerxes (Zak) Patel, Board Member

Xerxes (Zak) K. Patel joined the Board of Directors of the Texas Aggie Bar Association in Spring 2011.  Zak graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.B.A. in Management in May of 1997, and graduated from the Oklahoma City University School of Law in May of 2000.  

He is Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the Managing Member of The Zak K. Patel Law Firm, PLLC, in Houston, TX, which provides legal services regarding general civil matters (e.g. drafting, reviewing, explaining contracts, litigation, collections, matters regarding credit, and invoice dispute resolution (pursuit or defense)), and real estate matters (e.g. buying, selling, leasing property (both residential and commercial); landlord/tenant matters; homeowner association matters; liens; deeds; foreclosure; and, construction/home repair matters. 

Zak is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Member of the Real Estate, Probate & Trust of the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association, Credentialed Mediator for Texas, Texas Association of Mediators, Texas Mediator Credentialing Association, Association for Conflict Resolution - Houston Chapter, Houston A&M Club – past Board of Directors, Arab-American Cultural & Community Center – Board of Directors, Certified Mediator by the Oklahoma Supreme Court, The Reveille Club of Houston – Past President, Caring Aggies Mentor Program (C.A.M.P.) volunteer, Team West U Cycling Club - Past Team Captain, and frequent lecturer for mediation and arbitrator credentialing in Texas on the topics of ethics in mediation and ethics in arbitration.
